Savannah is in Georgia, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Savannah is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Georgia's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

@diningwithdirk: Sunday Edition. A walkabout through Daffin Park, Grayson, and all the neighboring streets where the stadium lighting debate continues. Thankfully, @HopAtomica came to the rescue. The Fifth pizza, a Stallion, and a couple of 250 Y’alls can completely change your outlook on an afternoon bite. The pizza was outstanding, and paired with the rich, meaty Stallion, it created the perfect combination of flavors. The 250 Y’all is a crisp lager that goes down easy, and Charlie always has a joke ready for anyone in need of a laugh. A perfect neighborhood spot for both locals and visitors exploring the Hostess City. Great food, great beer, and even better company.

This is one of those neighborhood spots where you’re just driving along and all of a sudden you think… wait a second, there’s a brewery right here? Tucked into a beautiful part of Savannah, this place really delivers. Great indoor space, awesome outdoor seating, and just a really easy vibe to settle into on a spring day. But the real story here is the service. Stacey was outstanding. One of those bartenders who makes you feel like you’ve been coming here for years, even if it’s your first time walking in. Super welcoming, dialed in on what you might like, and just genuinely cares that you have a good experience. She pointed us toward the meatball sub and said the meatballs melt in your mouth… and she was not wrong. Fantastic call. The beer is solid across the board, plenty of good options on draft, and the food absolutely holds its own right alongside it. If you’re in Savannah, yes, the historic riverfront is great. But this is absolutely worth getting off that path for a bit. You won’t regret it. Thanks, Stacey, for making this a stop we’ll remember on a long road trip. Looking forward to the next time.

To say this a disappointing experience would be a understanding. I came into the restaurant and no one greeted me I walked up and asked the chef who's cooking if someone could seat me they told me to sit at the table and scan a code on the table which I found really interesting I ordered a pizza I asked him if they made margarita they didn't really have that on there but they had something called the Queen and I ordered that it was incredibly bland the sauce didn't have much flavor garlic oregano a super super thin and it's supposed to be a wood fire pizza It had zero smoke flavor and it was $30 for this teeny little pizza. Then add insult to injury my waitress Stacy who did the come over and agree to take my order seem to find great humor and mocking a experience that I had discussed with her that I had while on vacation as she laughed to other employees about it It was not it was not a good time I don't recommend.

Enjoyed a wonderful lunch on Thursday with amazing beer in a very unique location. The pizza was wonderful and can be shared between 2-3 people. Our server, Stacey, made the visit even more worthwhile and memorable. She focused on our needs and never rushed us. Great place for lunch or dinner with a cool atmosphere! Definitely will return!

Hop Atomica never misses. The pizza is so good every single time; perfectly cooked, insanely flavorful, and honestly addictive. The vibes are always right, but what really makes this place special is Stacey. She’s amazing, super helpful, and always gives the best recommendations (like… she does not steer you wrong). You can tell she genuinely cares about people having a great experience. Between the food, the atmosphere, and the service, Hop Atomica is easily a go-to. 10/10, no notes.
